DAO (Danish Aircraft Owners) Aviation A/S was founded in 1979 by 3 aircraft owners with the purpose of providing aircraft and engine maintenance services to small operators. It is located in Roskilde Airport, Denmark.

In 2010 Dansk Fly Elektronik APS was acquired and operates as a subsidiary of DAO and merged with DAO Aviation A/S.

Over the four decades since its foundation, DAO has become a major player with an extensive worldwide network and presence enabling a maintenance service tailored to customer needs.

Today DAO has 60 employees with a high level of experience and certification enabling the company to perform specialized services on engines and aircraft including avionics and spare part service with capability on a large range of components and part sales.

Specifically, our status as a Honeywell-Authorized Heavy Service Centre for the TPE331 engine (all models) and speciallizing in the Dornier 228 series, is an essential anchoring point for us. Our airframe and avionics capabilities range from small piston aircraft to larger business jet aircraft, allowing us to address a broad aviation community.

DAO is fully EASA Part-145 certified (cert. no. DK.145.0020) for a range of aircraft types, components, avionics equipment, engines and accessories. In addition, DAO has obtained EASA Part-21 Design Organization Approval (DOA) (cert. no. EASA.21J.275), which enables us to work with design changes to meet our customers’ needs. DAO is a project-orientated organization where a standard project execution model is the basis for all activities. This approach ensures a flat organizational structure with high degrees of delegation enabling us to maintain our values on behalf of our customers.

DAO also offers maintenance, inspection and repair services in our hangar, or on location all over the world.

Our mission statement defines the primary purpose for our existence. With customer value and satisfaction at its core, it is the benchmark against which every decision is made.

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with QCM, a recognized leader in design approvals (EASA Part-21)! Together, we are committed to master the challenges of incorporating several designs into Aircraft, latest we have developed an EASA Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) for the installation of Collins Aerospace’s new IRT NX SATCOM solution on the King Air B200, as the first ones in Europe.
